The project aims to identify practices for the study of hyper-local phenomena through the collaborative data collection, for example the most congested areas of a neighbourhood, or untreated green areas.

In collaboration with the Citizen Data Lab, DensityDesign Lab designed visual representations of data coming from two sources: locally captured data using smartphones, and data coming from geographically located social media (for example Panoramio and Instagram). Visualisation were then printed in large format (2 meters x 0.5) and presented in a public event with the aim of stimulating discussion among the residents of the areas involved, the local organisations and local authorities.
